Born and raised in Ghent, Belgium, Jeroen Bogaert completed a 4-year MA course in film directing in 2007 at the RITS, a Belgian film & TV school in Brussels. His graduation film Cocoon won 4 international awards.

After this formal training and a year of working as a PA and 1st assistant director, he decided to hone his technical and creative skills with an additional MA at the London Film School, where he contributed on 24 short films and served the Student Union as Vice President. He graduated with distinction directing his own short ‘Early Birds’, which screened at various festivals such as Palm Springs, San Sebastian and The London Film Festival in 2012.

Jeroen is now working towards a first feature.
